Paul LemonNovember 24 - Paul Lemon, the former London 2012 ticketing and hospitality manager, has joined Prestige Ticketing as their new head of business development, it has been announced.

Prestige Ticketing provided the official in-venue hospitality at the London 2012, where they worked closely with Lemon and his team at the Organising Committee.

Lemon joins Prestige Ticketing with over 15 years' experience in the sports ticketing and hospitality industry, having worked all over the world on a range of major events, including five Olympic Games.

"As Prestige Ticketing embarks on the next step of its journey following the success of London 2012, we are delighted to have Paul in our talented team," said Prestige Ticketing chief operating officer Alan Gilpin.

"He brings with him a wealth of commercial and operational hospitality experience and I have no doubt that he will make a significant and positive contribution to our business."

Prior to London 2012, Lemon served as general manager of Sportsworld Group in Beijing, where he worked with a number of sponsors and National Olympic Committees (NOCs) on a range of hospitality programmes.

He has also worked with rights holders and sponsors at FIFA World Cups and Rugby World Cups.

Prestige Ticketing's  London 2012 programme was the very first time that official onsite and in-venue hospitality, for public purchase, was offered at an Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Prestige Ticketing was allocated approximately 80,000 tickets for London 2012, which was the equivalent to about one per cent of the total ticket allocation, while all hospitality packages were sold prior to the Games.
