292931-caitlin-mcclatcheyJuly 3 - Double Commonwealth Games gold medallist Caitlin McClatchey is included in Great Britain's swimming squad for the 2013 Summer Universiade in Kazan, which opens this weekend, bringing a wealth of experience to the young squad. 

Three-time Olympian McClatchey won gold in the 200 metres freestyle and 400m freestyle for Scotland at Melbourne 2006, and she will compete for Great Britain in three freestyle events, hoping to follow in the footsteps of her mother, who was a Universiade swimming finalist herself.

Elsewhere, Rebecca Turner of Sheffield Hallam University will compete in the 50m, 100m and 200m freestyle events as well as the relay on the back of her silver and bronze medal winning performances at the British Gas Swimming Championships last month.

London 2012 Olympian and Commonwealth silver medallist Antony James will make his Universiade debut in Kazan at the magnificent Aquatics Palace, which will also host the 2015 International Swimming Federation (FINA) World Aquatics Championships.

Anne Bochman of the University of Bath is included in the squad following a fourth place finish at the national championships, along with Lewis Smith and Ryan Bennett of Stirling University and Rachel Lefley and James Broady of Loughborough University.

Swansea University have one representative in Megan Gilchrist, Christopher Steeples is the sole representative from Manchester Metropolitan and Craig Hamilton of Louisiana State completes the squad .
