Four high definition channels will show live coverage of the Nordic skiing, alpine skiing, ice sledge hockey and wheelchair curling with a fifth broadcasting a mixture of each sport.

Live coverage of the Opening and Closing Ceremony will also be shown live on one of the five HD channels.

"Our aim at Sochi 2014 is to cover the Games and all sports from every single angle with a mixture of live action, live results and in-depth previews and reports," said Craig Spence, director of communications at the IPC.

"It will be our most comprehensive coverage of a Paralympic Winter Games to date.

"We are determined to build on the success of London 2012 when the IPC website received a record number of visitors and #paralympics was Twitter's number one trending sporting event of the year.

"To achieve this goal, visitors to our various online platforms will also be taken behind the scenes at the Games and given an exclusive flavour of the day-to-day activities of competing athletes."

Following each day of competition, all the action and highlights packages will be made available on the IPC's YouTube channel ©YouTube



Following the conclusion of the day's competition, all the sporting action, including individual matches from the ice sledge hockey and wheelchair curling, will be will be made available via the IPC's YouTube channel with highlights packages also set to uploaded to the channel.

It is estimated that around 150 stories will be produced by a team of writers giving fans previews and reviews of each of the five sports together with interviews from some of the leading athletes at the Games, which is due to open on March 7 and finish on March 16. 

The IPC will provide up-to-date profiles of each athlete competing at the Winter Games with a team of photographers providing a host of live images from the event.
