US Paralympics is looking to recruit a classification coordinator ©US ParalympicsUS Paralympics is looking to recruit a classification coordinator, responsible for administering and implementing the organisation's national classification system and strategy.

The coordinator will work directly in collaboration with the team leader and other relevant sport performance staff, and act as the primary point of contact with the International Paralympic Committee's athlete licensing and Sport Data Management. 

Duties include supporting the National Governing bodies and high performance management organisations of Paralympic sport and organising national classification activities and logistics.

The coordinator will also contribute to the overall planning and implementation of the Paralympic and sport performance division priorities.

Candidates are required to have two years of experience working with Olympic or Paralympic sport programmes, including event operations, logistics, and/or team management, and have a Bachelor degree or combined equivalent level of education and experience.

US Paralympics, based in Colorado Springs, Colorado, is a division of the non-profit United States Olympic Committee formed in 2001.

As stated on its website, US Paralympics "is dedicated to becoming the world leader in the Paralympic Movement and promoting excellence in the lives of people with Paralympic-eligible impairments, including physical disabilities and visual impairments".

The salary is between $36,469 (£23,793/€30,386) and $46,756 (£30,505/€38,957).
