Wheelchair fencing star Beatrice Vio is among the nominees for the International Paralympic Committee's Allianz Award for November.

The 20-year-old Italian defended her women's category B foil title at her home World Championships in Rome.

This was a sixth successive tournament victory for the Rio 2016 Paralympic gold medallist, who also helped the Italians to the women's team foil gold medal.

Other nominees include South Korean badminton players Jungjun Kim and Sam Seop Lee who also achieved global home success.

They have been nominated as a duo after winning the men's doubles WH 1-2 gold medal at the Para Badminton World Championships in Ulsan.

The pair also dominated their singles events, with Lee clinching the WH1 title and Kim winning WH2 gold.

American Mike Shea has been put forward after winning gold and silver medals in banked slalom SB-LL2 at the World Para Snowboard World Cup in Landgraaf in The Netherlands.

His gold medal saw him defeat reigning world champion Matti Suur-Hamari of Finland.

Fellow Americans Nick Taylor and David Wagner have been nominated together after winning their tenth Wheelchair Tennis Doubles Masters title.

They beat Britain's Antony Cotterill and Andy Lapthorne in the quads final in Bemmel in The Netherlands to take their tally into double figures.

Wheelchair racer Manuela Schar of Switzerland completes the nominees after her victory at the New York Marathon.

It saw her top the World Marathon Majors leaderboard.

The public can now decide the winner using the poll on the IPC website here. 

Nominations are compiled after submissions from National Paralympic Committees and International Federations.

Dancer Ivan Sivak of Ukraine won the prize for October.
