Ukraine brought their final tally of gold medals to seven but missed out on the full set on the final day of the World Shooting Para Grand Prix in Szczecin.

Vasyl Kovalchuk claimed Ukraine's seventh medal of the event by winning his second title in two days.

After finishing top of the 10 metre FTR2 falling targets rifle SH2 standings yesterday, the London 2012 Paralympic gold medallist once again emerged triumphant after winning today’s R5 10m air rifle prone mixed SH2 competition.

The 44-year-old shot for a final points total of 254.6 points in his nine attempts, giving him a total of 636.0.

This excellent display was enough to see off competition from compatriot Vitalii Plakushchyi, who scored 252.3 in his nine shots and earned a total of 635.0.

Milena Todorova of Bulgaria clinched the bronze medal with a final total of 231.4, giving her a total of 631.0 points.

Ukraine, however, were unable to complete the clean sweep of gold medals at this year’s tournament as Szymon Sowinski of host country Poland took the title in the P5 10m air pistol standard SH1 competition.

The world number two shot for a total of 356 in his four attempts, ensuring he finished ahead of Czech Republic duo Tomáš Pešek and Jakub Kosek, who finished second and third, respectively, with points totals of 346 and 342.
