Pink, chief executive at England Golf, is d due to join the national governing body when Munday departs for UK Sport in the autumn.

He will leave his position at England Golf, which he has held since March 2016, to take up the role with England Hockey.

Pink, who worked as regional development manager for the International Cricket Council for five years between 2011 and 2016, said he was "delighted" to be joining England Hockey.

"I have been hugely impressed with what the organisation has achieved through Sally's leadership and I look forward to working with the whole team, as well as the many clubs, counties, players, coaches and volunteers who make hockey so successful at every level," Pink added.

Pink will be tasked with following in the footsteps of Munday, who oversaw a golden era for hockey in England and Britain during her 10 years as chief executive.

Highlights included Great Britain's women securing their first Olympic title at Rio 2016 and the men’s team finishing fourth at London 2012, their best Olympic result in a quarter-of-a-century.

"The Board and I are very pleased to welcome Nick to the team," said England Hockey chairman Royston Hoggarth.

"He joins us at a really exciting time, a year out from the Tokyo Olympic Games. 

"The sport of hockey is in a fantastic place to continue to grow."
