Japan and Australia both made it three wins out of three in Division A of the men's tournament at the International Wheelchair Basketball Federation (IWBF) Asia Oceania Championships in Pattaya.

The Japanese eased past China 63-42 at the Eastern National Sports Centre in the Thai city, with the Australians seeing off Iran 78-55.

South Korea now sit third in the group after they defeated hosts Thailand 79-42 today.

All six Division A sides will advance to the quarter-finals regardless of their group stage performance, at an event which offers four spots for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.

They will be joined by two sides from Division B, which is being contested by eight countries in two initial groups of four.

Saudi Arabia have won all three of their games in Pool A after a 46-44 win over second-placed Chinese Taipei.

Afghanistan recorded their first win by beating Indonesia 63-21.

In Pool B, Malaysia have won every match and defeated Iraq 67-47 today.

There was a second win for Philippines, 70-14 over winless India.

In the women's tournament, three countries are contesting a double round-robin in Division A and know they will all reach the semi-finals.

China beat Australia 45-43 today to make it two victories from two and sit on top.

Five teams in Division B are aiming to complete the last four line-up.

Thailand and Iran both boast two wins from two with the hosts defeating Afghanistan 58-35 today.

Iran were too strong for India, 43-13.

The women's event offers three Tokyo 2020 places, with both tournaments continuing tomorrow.

Japan, as the Tokyo 2020 hosts, are already guaranteed a place in both the men's and women's Paralympic events.
