Hosts New Zealand have won their home leg of the men's World Rugby Sevens Series at FMG Stadium in Hamilton after a 27-5 win over France.

The All Blacks, who have been in the final of all three legs so far, made it their second title of the series after reaching the final following a 7-5 win against South Africa in Cape Town in the previous round.

In the final, France replied early on after the first New Zealand try, they could not score again as Scott Curry scored a hat-trick of tries for the Kiwis, backed up by a double from Regan Ware.

The champions made the final after comfortably beating Scotland 38-12 in their final group match before coming back to beat Australia 17-14 in the semi-finals to book their place in the final.

France won their last group game 17-7 against Ireland, setting up a semi-final match with England - winning in a low-scoring 10-5 affair.

Having previously won bronze in Cape Town in a 29-24 win over Fiji, it would mark the first final of the series involving France.
