The French star, an eight-times Paralympic gold medallist, finished 9.09sec clear of Switzerland's Bigna Schmidt in second.

Anastasiia Khorosheva of Russia did enough for bronze having completed the course in 1:28.83.

Italy's Giacomo Bertagnolli and guide Andrea Ravelli topped the podium in the visually impaired event to clinch a third straight World Cup gold medal.

Bertagnolli and Ravelli crossed the line in 1:07.12 to beat Ivan Frantsev and German Agranovskii of Russia, who were 1.98sec adrift in silver medal position.

The bronze medal was also claimed by Russia as Valerii Redkozubov and Evgeny Geroev clocked 1:13.49.

Austria's Markus Salcher secured his first World Cup victory in more than a year by winning the men's standing in 1:06.88.

Salcher was forced to settle for three downhill silver medals behind Arthur Bauchet but got the better of the Frenchman today.

Bauchet took silver, 1.21 behind Salcher, while bronze went to Robin Cuche of Switzerland.

Andrew Kurka of the United States added the men's sitting super-G title to his downhill success as he sealed gold in 1:12.71.

Switzerland's Murat Pelit was the recipient of the silver medal.

The World Cup resumes with the second set of super-G races tomorrow.
