The International Ski Federation (FIS) Alpine Skiing World Cup combined event in the Austrian resort of Hinterstoder has been rescheduled due to rain and snow.

Organisers confirmed the postponement was because of "rain and snowfall during the night and the current weather situation".

The third and final combined race of the season will now take place on Sunday (March 1), with France's Alexis Pinturault poised to win the overall combined title.

Competition in the giant slalom, originally scheduled for Sunday, has been moved to Monday (March 2).

The Super-G contest is still set to be held tomorrow.

Last weekend's competition in the men's Alpine Skiing World Cup was also struck by bad weather as the slalom at the Japanese resort of Naeba was cancelled.
