Olympic champions Jordan Burroughs and Kyle Snyder were among the Americans to taste success as the country ended the event in the Canadian capital with aplomb.

Burroughs, the 74 kilograms champion at London 2012, won his fourth Pan American title at the same weight by getting the better of Puerto Rico's Franklin Gomez Matos at Shaw Centre.

After leading 2-0 at the break the American went through the gears, eventually succeeding with a pair of takedowns and a leg lace for an 8-1 victory.

Rio 2016 gold medallist Snyder won his third Pan American crown by seeing off Reineris Salas Perez of Cuba 11-1.

He executed a series of takedowns and gut wrenches for a dominant success.

Other US victories included Yianni Diakomihalis at 70kg after he saw off Ecuador's Mauricio Javier Sanchez Saltos by fall.

Tyler Graff also won by fall against Canada's Scott Schiller at 61kg, while Anthony Nelson took the 125kg title after Canada's Amarveer Dhesi forfeited through injury.

The five successes meant the Americans easily won the team freestyle gold, in front of Canada and Cuba.

Two gold medals were won by Cuba on the final day, including Reineri Andreu Ortega's 4-2 victory at 57kg over Venezuela's Pedro Mejias Rodriguez.

Yurieski Torreblanca Queralta won by injury default at 86kg against Peru's Pool Ambrocio Greifo. 

Wrestling's Pan American Olympic Qualifier will now take place in Ottawa, between Friday (March 13) and Sunday (March 15).
