Norway secured a one-two on home territory in the women's HS140 event at the FIS Ski Jumping World Cup in Lillehammer.

After weather forced the cancellation of men's and women's events in Oslo on Sunday, competition moved across Norway to Lillehammer, the next stop on the Raw Air Tournament circuit.

In a closely fought contest between two Norwegian jumpers, Maren Lundby went one better on her second place in yesterday's replacement event at the same venue, topping the podium with a score of 262.3.

Lundby won by 0.7 points ahead of her compatriot Silje Opseth who scored 261.6 points.

Austria's Chiara Hoelzl improved on her poor showing yesterday to score 255.1 points, and place third.

She finished comfortably ahead of her compatriot Eva Pinkelnig, who was fourth with 245.7 points.

In the overall standings, Lundby has moved on to 1220 points, and has a 65 point advantage over second placed Hoelzl, who sits on 1155.

Pinkelnig is third overall on 1029, 191 points behind her compatriot.

Meanwhile in the men's HS140 event, which took place earlier in the day, victory went to Poland's Kamil Stoch with 264.3 points.

Slovenian jumpers took the other two podium places, with Ziga Jelar second on 259.0, 5.3 points behind.

His countryman Timi Zajc was third on 257.6.

The overall standings are still led by Stefan Kraft on 1659 points, despite the Austrian only finishing in 17th place in today's competition.

Karl Geiger of Germany remains second in the overall World Cup standings on 1519 points, after finishing 19th today, 140 points behind Kraft.

Following an impressive fourth placed finish in today's event Ryoyu Kobayashi of Japan has moved into third overall on 1178 points, overtaking Dawid Kubacki of Poland who could only finish in eighth today.

The next stop on the HS140 circuit is another Norwegian destination on Thursday (March 12), as large hill competitions take place for both the men and women in Trondheim.
