The International Skating Union (ISU) will stream all events from the 2018 ISU World Figure Skating Championships after this year's edition was cancelled due to the COVID-19 crisis.

Starting today, the ISU will post streams from the event in Milan on its YouTube channel at 11am daily until April 5.

First on the schedule is the pairs short programme, which was won by German duo Aljona Savchenko and Bruno Massot.

On April 5, the final day will feature the Exhibition Gala which rounded off the week-long event that was held in Milan in Italy.

Seven countries won medals.

In a statement, the ISU said: "These Championships were held in the city of Milan, in Lombardy, a region particularly impacted by the COVID-19 crisis.

"Therefore, the ISU wishes to dedicate these live streams not only to the host country of Italy but also to all those who are suffering from or combating the disease worldwide, with the hope that the situation will be restored to normal as quickly as possible."

The dearth of live sport at the minute means there is an appetite from fans to relive events from years gone by.

More than 615,000 COVID-19 cases have been confirmed to date and the virus has killed more than 28,000 worldwide.
