The Venezuelan Olympic Committee (COV) will release educational videos on Facebook while people follow coronavirus containment measures.

COV are releasing the videos for sports fans, administrators and officials.

The first video was on hockey and featured Argentinian coach Agustín Corradini.

Having played for Argentina himself, Corradini became head coach of the national women's team in 2017.

Puerto Rico Olympic Committee President Sara Rosario was in the second video, entitled "women in sport."

The videos will be daily and are set to last for two hours, with topics such as journalism and sports marketing promised for future editions.

"We have a lot to teach at the COV, and using our digital platform we will be providing a 'cycle of knowledge' with specialists to connect via Facebook Live," said VOC President Eduardo Álvarez.

"In this way we will be complying with the regulations.

"We will be doing this every day with great speakers on sport issues."

There have been 113 cases of coronavirus in Venezuela, with two deaths.

An immediate quarantine was imposed across the country last week.
