The Professional Golfers Association (PGA) Tour are set to financially assist caddies who have lost earnings due to all competition being suspended due to the COVID-19 crisis.

In a memo sent on Friday, it outlined that caddies can make financial requests to the Caddie Benevolent Fund that aims to reimburse those who have lost work.

"Playing opportunities equate to financial opportunities, and we are concerned about the toll that cancelled tournaments are having on some of our members," said Tyler Dennis, senior vice president of PGA and the Tour's chief of operations.
