Para-swimming world champions Alice Tai and Simone Barlaam shared their lockdown experiences on an Instagram Live.

England's Tai and Italian boyfriend Barlaam were in lockdown together in Bournemouth, before Barlaam returned to Italy to be with his family.

Both countries currently have restrictive measures in place to contain the spread of coronavirus.

The pair were still able to host an Instagram Live together, however, taking over the World Para Swimming account together.

They showed how they were passing the time in lockdown and their workout routines, as well as answering questions from viewers.

Tai, 21, is an eight-time world champion, claiming seven of the gold medals at the 2019 World Para Swimming Championships in London.

She also has a Paralympic gold medal in the 4x100 metres medley from Rio 2016.

Barlaam, 19, has his own share of world titles, with seven in total.

Tai and Barlaam met at the Dublin 2018 European Championships, where they took four gold medals each.

It was the second Instagram Live to be held on the World Para Swimming account during lockdown, with Spain’s Judit Rolo hosting the first one with Argentina’s Daniela Gimenez.
