Bangladesh and New Zealand were due to play in August and September, but will no longer do so.

Replacement dates are yet to be determined.

Bangladesh's tour of Sri Lanka, set to feature three Test matches, was scheduled to begin in July.

International cricket has been brought to a halt by the pandemic, although a West Indies team is currently in England ahead of a three-Test contest beginning next month.

"In the present COVID-19 pandemic scenario, hosting a full cricket series in August 2020 will be a challenge in terms of preparations and we cannot take chances with the safety and health of players, support staff and related stakeholders," Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) chief executive Nizam Uddin Chowdhury said in a statement confirming the New Zealand Cricket (NZC) tour was off.

"Under these circumstances, the BCB and NZC have felt that the best way forward would be to defer the series. 

"We realise that this will be hugely disappointing for the players and officials of both teams, not to mention the fans of the two nations but I must thank NZC for its understanding and for recognising the rationale behind such a decision."

Both postponed series were set to be part of the inaugural International Cricket Council World Test Championship. 

Bangladesh are currently winless in the competition and sit bottom of the nine-team table, but have played only one series.

The Black Caps, despite having lost more Tests than they have won, are third.

Sri Lanka sit sixth.
