The Swiss freestyle ski team has opted for some summer training away from the snow at a training camp on the ski jumping slopes, while the nation's young aerials prospect, Noé Roth, showed off new tricks ahead of next season.

Taking place at the Jumpin Mettmenstetten, the athletes instead land into water rather than their familiar conditions in the mountains during the winter.

National coach Michel Roth spoke of the excitement of training some of his young prospects and the strength of them going forward.

"Training with the athletes is going very well," said Roth.

"Thanks to the Jumpin, we have an optimal training facility that we use throughout the summer, so we can perfectly approach other levels of difficulty."

The training facility includes such equipment as bungees and trampolines along with the water jumps.

Roth also spoke highly of the 20-year-old Pirmin Warner, who finished fourth in the International Ski Federation Freestyle World Cup in the overall moguls events.

He managed a five-fold flight combination for the first time, pleasing his coach.

"I am very happy about Pirmin's progress," said Roth.

"He did his first double-full-double-full-full, it was a very important step for him."

Moguls World Cup champion Noé Roth meanwhile showed off a new skill, pulling off the full triple full full for the first time, also known as the "hurricane".

In this jump, the athlete makes one screw in the first somersault, three screws in the second somersault and another screw in the third somersault.

"This is a brutal leap that not many have dared to take, you have to be incredibly fast," added coach Roth.

Roth in the past two years has been the junior world champion, won bronze at the World Championship, team gold at the World Championship as well as being the overall World Cup winner.
