Płock has hosted the inaugural Polish Beach Teqball Championships as the sport continues to develop in the country.

Organisers implemented a number of coronavirus safety measures during the tournament, including the use of disinfectants on the court and mandatory wearing of masks for security and staff.

Showers for players and referees were disinfected, while organisers said participants adhered to social distancing rules.

These measures highlighted how teqball is a "social distancing sport", according to the International Federation of Teqball (FITEQ).

Polish Olympic Committee President Andrzej Kraśnicki and Polish Teqball Association counterpart Michał Listkiewicz presided over the tournament, won by world singles number one Adrian Duszak.

A "TEQ One" table, worth €2,499 (£2,200/$2,900), was also donated during the competition and will be auctioned for charity.
