Created by the IOC, the Olympic Values Education Programme (OVEP) will now be available in the native language of the host nation, as will the I'mPOSSIBLE toolkit, created by the IPC.

These two programmes will provide students with educational activities and teachers with resources and practical training.

The Chinese version of OVEP includes the fundamentals manual, a sports programme, the delivery playbook, a practical guide to Olympic values education, activity sheets, exercises to support the education and a workshop plan which helps the students learn through physical activity.

The IPC developed the I'mPOSSIBLE resources in a bid to spread Paralympic knowledge, promote social inclusion and encourage teenagers to develop themselves around the Paralympic values including inspiration and equality.

This will be distributed to 627 schools with winter sport programmes, while 1,036 schools will receive the OVEP materials.

"I'mPOSSIBLE is an educational programme that aims to bring Paralympic values, the history of Paralympics, and give some information about persons with a disability through Paralympic sport to kids at school age," said IPC President, Andrew Parsons.

"This is a fundamental part of the Games, of the legacy of any Games.

"This is education, and it is how we can influence by positive examples of Paralympic athletes and the future generation of decision-makers in any country.

"China is such an important country in the world, and Beijing 2022 has the ambition to bring more people into ice and snow sports, and why not people with disabilities practicing ice and snow sports as well?

"It is the legacy of changing perceptions and changing attitudes, and I'mPOSSIBLE is an important part of that strategy."

The resources are designed for teachers to use with students aged from six to 18.

Elsewhere, Beijing 2022 has also collaborated with Panasonic – its worldwide partner – to bring an educational resource for primary and middle school children that introduces the role of technology in the Games.
