British Taekwondo is to stage its Annual General Meeting (AGM) online owing to the coronavirus pandemic.

It is scheduled to take place on December 5.

Much of Britain is currently under lockdown restrictions, with indoor mixing of households banned.

Moving the AGM and supporting workshops online allows them to continue, and the British Taekwondo Board even suggested that not requiring anyone to travel to the event may lead to more people than ever engaging with the gathering.

A strategic plan for the next decade is set to be unveiled at the AGM, along with plans for a consultation with members over its contents.

New British Taekwondo departments will have a chance to outline their short- and long-term visions, while website redevelopment, membership services and the education programme for coaches will also come under the microscope.

The health crisis is, of course, set to be a key topic as well, with certain presentations and workshops to focus on club recovery.

Any British Taekwondo club that has been a registered club for more than a year and possesses more than 20 registered members is eligible to select a representative or proxy to attend the AGM and vote on proposals.

The deadline to register to attend the AGM is November 19.
