USA Bobsled and Skeleton (USABS) has signed a sponsorship deal with beverage company Slate Milk, which lasts beyond the 2022 Winter Olympic Games in Beijing.

Slate Milk has become an official supplier to USA Bobsled and Skeleton after penning the deal, set to expire in June 2022.

The company makes lactose-free chocolate milk which it claims contains 75 per cent less sugar than other brands.

"We are excited to welcome Slate Milk to our family of partners," said USA Bobsled and Skeleton chief executive Aron McGuire.

"Slate Milk tastes great, is healthy, and provides our athletes with essential nutrients to get stronger, faster and more powerful as they work tirelessly towards achieving their goals every day.

"We're also really excited to partner with a company that cares about sustainability by using recyclable aluminium cans."

Slate Milk co-founder Manny Lubin said the company was thrilled to be working with the governing body.

"When we connected with USABS, it was immediately clear that each individual athlete associated with their team shares the same drive and passion, and are going to do whatever it takes to achieve their dream," said Lubin.

"We were blown away by their tireless work ethic, and dedication to perfecting their craft.

"We couldn't be more excited to be fuelling USA Bobsled and Skeleton through 2022."
