The "multi-year" deal with Hockey Canada sees SkipTheDishes serve as the official food delivery app for the competition which is due to run from December 25 to January 5 2021 in Edmonton.

Canada’s athletes, coaches and support staff will be able to access Skip Credit to support some of the city’s best local restaurants as they vie for the gold medal while competing in the bio-secure bubble.

Although the event will be held behind closed doors, Hockey Canada said the partnership with SkipTheDishes will help deliver the game-day experience fans crave directly to their homes.

Preparation for the 10-team World Junior Championship has been disrupted by a bout of coronavirus cases with Sweden, Germany, Austria and Canada all reporting positive tests earlier this month.
