The International Tennis Federation (ITF) has agreed a deal for NEC to continue as the title sponsor of the Wheelchair Singles Masters for another three years.

It means the event will continue to be known as the NEC Wheelchair Singles Masters until 2023.

NEC - wheelchair tennis' longest-serving sponsor - will also continue to be an international sponsor for several other tournaments on the UNIQLO Wheelchair Tennis Tour, the ITF added.

The Wheelchair Singles Masters is the Tour's marquee event.

"There is no doubt that wheelchair tennis would not be where it is today without the involvement of NEC, whose commitment to the development of the sport has always gone well beyond their financial contribution," said ITF President David Haggerty.

"On behalf of the ITF and wheelchair tennis, I would like to express our ongoing gratitude and we look forward to continuing this longstanding and successful partnership."

NEC is a Japan-based IT and electronics company and employed more than 110,000 people worldwide as of April 2019.

Makoto Enomoto, NEC senior vice-president and chief marketing officer, said the company was "proud and privileged to have sponsored wheelchair tennis" for three decades.

"NEC has been a part of the wheelchair tennis community for 30 years since the sport's early development, and we look forward to continuing our involvement well into the future," Enomoto added.
