The Croatian archer will now face France’s Jocelyn De Grandis in the quarter-finals, with second seed Pierre Plihon of France due to meet Slovenia’s Gasper Strajhar.

Germany’s Florian Unruh and Gijs Broeksma of the Netherlands will meet in the last eight of the competition.

The quarter-final line-up is completed by Steve Wijler and Rick van der Ven, who will go head-to-head in an all-Dutch match.

The women’s recurve competition saw Gabriela Schloesser earn the top seed status in qualification.

The Dutch archer received a bye through to the second round of the competition and will meet either France’s Victoria Sebastian or Slovenia’s Teja Slana in the quarter-finals.

Second seed Lisa Unruh of Germany is also assured of a quarter-final place.

Dutch star Mike Schloesser headlines the men’s compound quarter-final line-up, with the top seed set to face Estonia’s Robin Jaatma.

France’s Adrien Gontier, the second seed, will face Estonia’s Caius Kand in the other half of the draw.

Croatia’s Amanda Mlinaric leads the women’s compound last eight field.

The top seed will meet Denmark’s Erika Damsbo in tomorrow’s quarter-finals.

The event was originally delayed by two weeks due to the French Government's pandemic-related restrictions on sporting events.

Having initially been planned to coincide with stage three of the remote 2021 Indoor Archery World Series, it now acts as a bonus stage.

Anti-virus measures such as the wearing of masks and athletes being spaced further apart than usual are in place, while a 6pm-to-6am curfew is currently in force across France, with those at the tournament being subject to it.
