Scott Brash is ideally placed in his quest for a third Global Champions Tour (GCT) title as he approaches tomorrow’s third leg of this season’s series in Saint-Tropez in France.

The British rider, who won the GCT in 2013 and 2014 and has a record 12 victories in the competition thus far, leads the rankings after two rounds in Doha and Madrid with a total of 68 points.

Brash also won a team gold medal at the London 2012 Olympics.

Bart Bles of The Netherlands and France’s Olivier Robert, who beat Brash in a jump-off to earn his first GCT victory in Madrid last weekend, are second and third respectively on 63 and 60 points.

Peder Fredricson of Sweden is fourth on 56, with Germany’s Christian Kukuk one place behind on 51.

The opening event in the series, held in Doha in March, was won by Belgium’s Niels Bruynseels, with Italy’s Lorenzo De Luca second and Canada’s Eric Lamaze third.

In Madrid, Robert and Brash were followed home by Darragh Kenny of Ireland.

This five-star event is due to conclude on Saturday (May 29) and be held alongside the latest Global Champions League event.
