US field_hockey_water_bottles_July_8_July 20 - USA Field Hockey have announced that new partners S'well Bottle, a water bottle brand that donates to WaterAid, a charity providing safe water to communities in need, is their team's Official Supplier of water bottles.


S'well Bottle will design and manufacture special bottles for the women's field hockey team, just in time for their upcoming London 2012 contests, where they will be pursuing their first Olympic medal since 1984.

The water bottles will be eco-friendly, double-walled and insulated to keep keep drinks ice-cold for hours while players compete.

Head coach Lee Bodimeade said: "The S'well bottle gives us an advantage and helps improve performance and endurance with its ability to keep core temperature down, because rehydrating with cold drinks is key to recovery.

"It will keep my team of elite players one step ahead of the competition."

In addition to providing the women's team with a supply of custom bottles, S'well will also sell the same bottle to field hockey fans, with proceeds from each purchase donated to WaterAid and USA Field Hockey.

The US women's field hockey team are due depart for London 2012 tomorrow.
